The Pepper and Salt Seller
Several years ago as a small growing child, I was scolded by my late father. He told me never to despise others who despised my condition. He ended the advice by saying to me “value others because a trader who sells pepper does not sell salt. “That’s not true papa”, I responded. “I know several traders in our village market who sell pepper and salt and many more condiments. Papa you are wrong”, I said. With a smile on his face, he said to me “you will understand later. ” And truly, I now understand.
Life is such that no man has it all. Men are created to complement one another, to appreciate and maximize what they have and to see the good in others.
Beautiful girl, before you despise other girls this year, remember that it’s someone else that sows your beautiful dresses and makes your hair.
Husband before you despise your spouse because you work and pick the bills, remember you need that woman to answer a married man.
A teacher is one because there are students. A medical doctor needs patients, nurses, cleaners and even messengers. Car owner, you need a careful driver to get home safely. You can sit at the owner’s seat, but you can’t sit on the driver’s seat at the same time!
You can’t sell pepper and salt!
Never despise who, how and what you are! What you despise, another desires! There must be short men in order to find grounds to measure the tall men! What you miss in height, you can gain in a good attitude.
In choosing a life partner, stop looking for the tall, rich, handsome, dark, educated, very caring, faithful, honest, god-fearing man! Accept what is there, emphasize it and complement it. No man can sell pepper and salt!
Choose to see beauty from your eyes.
The mark of a great man is TO SEE GOOD IN OTHERS WITHOUT FEELING THREATENED!
Value others this year. That way you gain. You might sell pepper in great quantities, but you can’t sell salt at the same time!
2017: Influence!
Yes, YOU CAN!
